The mixed media "Forest Bathing Buddhas" by Carole Leslie speaks to the ancient tradition of monks and mendicants who practiced meditation in the forests. "And still today," says Carole, "we can find the quiet, green of nature supportive to our practice of presence, that revives and energizes us to carry on with our sometimes busy and confusing lives."

Artist Carole Leslie says that generally speaking it is an inclination toward simplicity that pushes her to try and integrate her practice and work, to paint Buddhas, to observe her process as she works. She gravitates toward mixed media, integrating script and words with images and colour.
