The golf course had a multimillion dollar renovation in 2009 and celebrated its grand reopening on January 1st, 2010. Award winning architect Kipp Schulties was the golf course designer.
The new course has multiple tees for all types of players ranging from 5,200 yards to over 7,000 yards. The large undulating greens are Tif-Eagle Bermuda and the tees, fairways, collars and approaches are celebration bermuda grass. We have over 50 new style bunkers throughout the course with new g-angle sand, new concrete cart paths and wooden bridges throughout the course. The championship golf course has also been totally re-landscaped with many types of native trees, plants, and ornamental grasses. Lago Mar Country Club promises to be a challenging, rewarding experience and provide our members the pure thrill that comes from the game of golf.
