This photograph was taken in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in the White Mountains in Inyo County in eastern California. These Bristlecone trees are the oldest trees in the world some exceed 4000 years of age and exhibit spectacular growth forms of twisted and beautifully colored wood. She took this photograph in 2000.
