Description
During our one-hour Awareness Through Movement group classes, the Aerin Alexander leads you through movement sequences performed in basic positions: sitting or lying on the floor, sitting in a chair and standing.
The Feldenkrais Method seeks to change the organization of your nervous system by engaging cognitive, sensory and physical faculties by taking you through a series of movements involving specific movement patterns (i.e. flexion, extension, rolling) and guiding you through options for each pattern. This exploration allows you to discover your own most functional motions. You can then take these new motions and use them in your daily life. It is an empowering methodology.
