Guy Buffet studied at the Beaux Arts de Toulon, that had once harbored the artists Chagall, Matisse, Piscasso and Toulouse Lautrec.


La Closerie Des Lilas is a hand-pulled lithography printed by Arts Litho, Paris. The image size is twenty-four inches by thirty inches and is signed by the artist. There are 50 Roman Numerals in the edition, this one is numbered twelve. 


La Closerie Des Lilas is a famous old Paris bistro in Montparnasse. The name means "Lilac bower" and was favored by Ernest Hemingway. Buffet images how it looked during the Belle Epoque. 


The lithograph is matted in linen and has a beautiful black and gold frame. With frame, it measures 38 inches high by 44 inches wide.
