Case 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley. Ballard Vineyard is a small estate on top of Spring Mountain. 

All the wine for Luscher-Ballard is estate grown and sourced from the same 

location in the vineyard. The wine is grown on an elevation of 2200 feet (which is often above the fog line) in volcanic soil.

They age in French Oak, 50% new for 22 months. The wine ferments on its own yeasts and remains unfiltered and unfined. After bottling they let it rest before releasing it to their customers.

Vintage 2013 has a dense purple color, blueberry and black raspberry fruit aromas with a hint of underbrush, good structure, impressive texture and sweet tannin.

Graceful and elegant with a long finish. Drink it now and over the next 10 - 15 years.
