You are bidding on a spot in a Basic Knife Skills class with Purple Kale Kitchenworks
Get to know your knives, and the basics of sharpening with a steel. Proper form, posture, rhythm. The real way to cut an onion. Making all round food square. What is chiffonade, fine dice, filet, sliver? To bone a chicken leg.
We'll work with carrots, onions, celery, shallots, garlic, herbs, citrus, squash and more. Bring your own knives, or borrow ours.
We won't focus on superfluous technique, such as how to turn a radish into a rose; instead we'll teach balance, cadence, posture, and grip. We get in close, guiding you hand over hand to proper form
