Artist Mary Hill grew up in Shelburne, VT looking at the Adirondacks with the sun, wind, waves, and constantly moving Lake Champlain. She has always loved color. Mary has studied and worked with many different art forms. She originally created Spudprints, a handpainted clothing company, featuring brilliant combinations of color. In 1999, painting the rich, playful banners that she is well known for began. She then started photographing her work for greeting cards. Now paintings are her passion. Mary has painted interiors for clients in Vermont, New York and Maryland. Her mural project for Sugarbush Ski Resort in their ski school in Warren, Vermont has created a magical space for kids to learn. Mary’s art studio is in Underhill and overlooks Mt. Mansfield where she lives with her husband Rick and family.
