The Riddell Preserve:

Nestled in the rugged hills just a few miles west of downtown Healdsburg is a rare treasure.  A spectacular 400 acre property-a mile and a half long by half a mile wide-Landpaths' Riddell Preserve encompasses diverse flora, high quality wildlife habitat and headwater land interspersed with perennial springs and stream channels.

Not merely breathtakingly beautiful, the land is wild and natural.  Owned by the Riddell family for nearly forty years, the preserve nurtures remarkable stands of mature and regenerating oak and madrone woodland, with islands of second growth redwood emerging from the hardwood canopy, and vigorous stands of native bunch grass.

*  2 mile backpacking hike on a road that has been washed out in sections leaving it impassable to vehicles

*  Fully equipped - yet rustic - cabin (kitchen, bathroom, cozy wood burning stove, 2 bedrooms) but bring your own sleeping bags for the beds

*  Maximum of 4 people sleeping inside or up to 8 people for those interested in camping under stars on the cabin deck

*  Redeemable up to one year from auction; to be arranged on a mutually agreeable date
