About the wine: This wine opens with beautiful and intense aromatics. A blast of chocolate, tobacco, black cherry liqueur, and intense minerality that is reflective of our estate. The acid and round tannins are in good balance and give a full, lush mouthfeel. This Cabernet Sauvignon has a rollercoaster of flavors that switch from savory to spice with fruit intermixed. Flavor hits abound with deep, dark blueberry, cocoa, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, coconut, cinnamon toast, mocha, cherry cola, and roasted meat in the background. Vintage 2012 was more about plum and red fruit. Vintage 2013 is more dark fruit, a “brambliness” that we like. The small percentage of Petit Verdot provides the accent notes to the solid Cabernet core, while the Merlot lends additional structure.
