Description

This Double Magnum (3 liter) of 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon comes packaged in a wooden box from Trefethen Family Vineyards in Napa.

This Cabernet Sauvignon comes from vines planted in the northwestern quadrant of Trefethen's estate vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley, in gravelly soils that warm quickly in the spring. This warmer site, combined with limited yields, produces Cabernet Sauvignon fruit with bright, complex flavors, resulting in wine with deep ruby color and heady aromas of plums, blackberries, and forest-floor spice.

Trefethen's 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is a special wine. Its exuberant nose of ripe blackcurrants, black cherry, sweet herbs, pepper spice, cigar box and oak vanillin introduces a powerful palate of muscular cassis and blackberry flavors that gain a finishing kick of savory spice and toasty oak as this full-bodied colt races to the wire.
