Description
This speaker/amplifier has been created with several different types of wood to give it a unique look and character.
The bell or horn is created with alternating walnut and cherry, joined in a 15-degree, 6-sided bell.
The front piece of wood is walnut, cut locally from my neighbor's walnut tree. It has been dried for over a year and has great color, variation and some have beautiful character "flaws." Any flaw that could effect the stability of the wood has been filled with special wood epoxy.
The middle piece of wood is alder, which is appreciated for its tight and even balanced tone.
The back piece of walnut is very special. This reclaimed wood came from a house in central Kansas that was built in 1850. The house was torn down in the 1980's and has been stored indoors since. It's a hard wood with a very tight grain--it is a 165-year-old piece of wood.
This will hold many types of phones with various case thicknesses.

Pick Up: School parents (and others who contact us by 9 am on Monday, May 18) can pick up this item at Sebastopol Charter School on Wednesday, May 18, between 2 and 4 pm. Details about pick up location, any additional pick up times, and scheduling a special pick up time will be emailed to winning bidders at the close of auction.
Shipping: If you are not a school parent, this item will be shipped to you at your expense unless you contact us at info@thecharterfoundation.org by Monday, May 16, at 9 am, to elect to pick up the item.
Shipping and insurance fees will be determined at auction close. The Charter Foundation is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
