The book, which started as a personal journey to discover more about GMOs and the polarizing arguments that surround them, became a deep look at the food we feed our families and also an illuminating portrait of what really goes into making Big Ag as powerful as it is. The book delineates, in three journeys--across the Great Plains, to Europe and to California-- the ties our current food system has to many of our modern health plagues, environmental calamities and climate change.
