2012 Matchbook The Arsonist Red Blend (Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot)
Dense, dark and ripe, the Arsonist 2013 Red Blend is a towering affirmation that we must all sometimes play with fire. Aromas of mocha, blueberry and cardamom intermingle with cigar box and hints of black pepper. A sweet oak character on the entry brings blackberry and cherry on the mid-palate, finishing with a pleasing peppery nip. Firm tannins on the entry complement a mouth-filling structure. Pair this bold Bordeaux blend with a big, rich meal: Filet mignon, slow-roasted osso buco or a peppercorn-crusted New York strip steak.

Matchbook’s 2013 The Arsonist Chardonnay showcases the excellence of the Dunnigan Hills. We selected the best barrel lots of our estate-grown fruit to make this Chardonnay. With incredible aromas of pineapple and papaya mingling with French oak and butterscotch, this wine just beckons to be tasted. Flavors of tropical fruit and caramel tantalize with notes of vanilla and barrel spice. The Arsonist Chardonnay is big, creamy, yet welcoming in its nuanced integration. Pair with fettuccini alfredo, chicken liver mousse or poached lobster in drawn butter.
