Description

Julie Ann Terry, graduate of the Denver Botanic Gardens botanical art program, seeks though plant portraits and a watercolor brush to focus on the intricate world of plants for the viewer. Her work is in Rare II, a current exhibit traveling the state to bring public awareness to globally endangered plants growing in the soils of Colorado. She also enjoys exhibiting with the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists of which she is a member.

Out in a beautiful place such as Rocky Mountain National Park, from which the mask’s plants were seen and painted, we enjoy ourselves, lose ourselves, and are refreshed. I loved putting the twigs across the face and showing the plant covering an eye because nature projects into our very being its beauty.
