Nancy Merritt Brauer graduated from CU with a degree in Liberal Arts.  She travelled in Europe for 2 years and later sold real estate in Denver for 30 years.  Since retiring in 2007 she has taken painting classes at Park Hill Art Club and currently is studying with nationally known artist, Michael Dowling.  Nancy is an artist with Penn Street Studios in Wash Park.

Ravens are a recurring theme in Nancy's art because of their special traits and behaviors.  They mate for life, are extremely empathetic to their fellow ravens and are very playful and mischievous.  They are declared to be as smart as chimps and dolphins.
