I was always interested in art, producing and studying it. In the past, I've worked with pottery and jewelry along with drawing and painting. I started college as a fine art major but moved to the more practical side of business after a couple of years. With that, my art went on a several decade hiatus. I started getting back into art 6 or 7 years ago, using acrylics, oils and occasionally watercolor. I have taken many classes/workshops and have shown in local shows.

My mask was inspired by the cubist paintings of Picasso and others. My idea was to create two figures from a single one, taking the geometric parts of a man and a woman and painting them together in the non-aligned geometric manner of cubism.
