My mask was influenced by the artist Gerda Wegener. She was born as Gerda Mane Fredrikke Gotleib on March 15, 1886. She was known for her Danish fine art, illustration and paintings and best known for her works in erotica. Her artwork contains images of fashionable women in the style of art nouveau and later art deco. My mask is a homage to this very flamboyant artist and the famous paintings she did, as well as her husband, Einar Weganer who was referred to as "Lili" in the Danish Girl.
