Julie Nordstrom began her artistic career after moving to Denver in 2009. She took her first painting class at The Art Student League with Molly Davis. Currently she is a member of the Park Hill Art Club and has studied there with Victoria Kwasinski, Michael Dowling and Jennifer Bobola. Her work is currently on display at The Denver Turnverein. She enjoys painting the most when she captures a moment or feeling that is important and works to express these emotions in her work.  Hospice has been very supportive for her family in times of transition and she wanted to express the caring nature and peace provided by Hospice in this mask.

Remembering my trip to Giverny, France, I used the warm colors and vibrant flowers of Monet's gardens as inspiration for this mask. I wanted to create a feeling of peace and caring which I hope you feel when viewing this mask.
