Mary Sue Veerkamp-Schwab, whose work hangs in homes and collections around the world, specializes in commissioned portraits of homes, historic places, portraits of children, families and pets. Inspired by my travels to Venice, ‘The Volto’ depicts an entire face. Painted with silver and utilizing textures, the mask gives off a soft glow, while keeping a sense of mystery to the wearer’s identity.
