Mary Sue Veerkamp-Schwab, whose work hangs in homes and collections around the world, specializes in commissioned portraits of homes, historic places, portraits of children, families and pets. Mary Sue has worked as a graphic designer, art instructor and storyboard artist. Inspired by my travels to Venice, ‘The Volto’ depicts an entire face. Painted with silver and utilizing textures, the mask gives off a soft glow, while keeping a sense of mystery to the wearer’s identity.
