Description

Linda’s work is influenced by her travels to Europe, the Middle East, South America, China, Japan and Africa giving her art a flavor from each country; from vibrant to muted color and bold Sumi brush strokes to delicate botanic lines.

The beauty of Colorado and the pioneer spirit of its people are the great influences of Linda's art. She was born and raised on the front range and graduated from the University of Colorado under the watchful eyes of the Flat Irons. Skiing, hiking and exploring the mountains have given her a reverence for nature. Sparkling rivers are translated into transparent acrylic abstracts and back ski bowls glisten in watercolor. Spirit and power of the human heart are represented in India Ink and acrylic. After a teaching career of 37 years, she now devotes her time to making art. She has works in juried shows in Mainstreet Center in Parker, Deep Space Gallery in Parker and she has shown and sold art at Park Hill Art Guild and Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Community.

Knowing that life is an adventure filled with new, exciting experiences keeps Linda smiling; reaching out to old friends and looking forward to making new ones.

"A Whale of A Good Time"
Frolicking in the ocean sets whales jumping, dancing and smiling. Who wouldn't love to float weightlessly as they scampered through tickling seaweed, flew over cascading waves, and lolled near rainbow coral?
