Description

Hannah Pedersen is a Colorado native and currently the Events Coordinator at The Denver Hospice for the duration of the Mask Project 2016. Hannah learned at a very young age that she loved creating things whether it be paintings, DIY projects, and more recently, films. Her aunt has taught her everything she knows about painting all while supporting her various creative endeavors. She is a recent graduate from Johnson & Wales University and is slowly discovering her life’s calling. She is an animal lover, a pizza eater, a constant laugher, and a traveler at heart.

"I was inspired by many of Roy Lichtenstein’s pop art pieces. I love how simplistic and fun his visuals are. Even though they are two dimensional, the pieces have a personality that jumps out at me. I always have a fun time experimenting with designs to make them unique and original. I stopped the dots at a certain point on the mask to give it depth and play with the viewer’s eye. I really enjoyed studying Lichtenstein’s art during this process and giving the design my own touch."
