Maria is a watercolor painter who likes her viewers to have a close, intimate look at her botanical and figurative subjects. She emphasizes shapes and color in tandem to produce her transparent watercolor paintings. Maria earned a Certificate in Botanical Illustration from the Denver Botanic Gardens, and attends classes at the Art Student League of Denver. She exhibits in numerous juried shows and received awards of merit for her work. She holds a Signature Membership of the Colorado Watercolor Society (CWS), and is a long-time member of the Art Student League of Denver.
