I am a quilt artist. Fabric is my medium. I have been quilting since 2000. I have a special interest in faces and have a series of ten art quilts showing expressions.  They are quilted and painted. I am currently working on a new series of faces, actually characters, which highlight their faces and show how our faces tell our stories. My work has appeared at the Tactile Museum and Wild Heather here in Denver. 

I used a fusing technique to adhere the small pieces of fabric to a fabric background. I added the eyes including hand-stitching around the eyes and eye lashes, finishing with hand beading for the ends of the lashes.The nose and mouth are machine stitched
