Evi Patterson is a Junior at Mountain Vista High School and loves putting fine detail into her Ceramic work. Even her largest wheel thrown pieces have something special carved or painted onto them. For this piece Evi used majolica glaze to paint the fine details and layers in the eye and lashes. Her mosaics of colors are similar to her work with stained glass that she builds in the classroom. And, it is no surprise to see the presence of her love for pastel colors in this piece as it finds its way into most of her work.
