Description

Karen Frieda Kaiser has been exhibiting her art for more than 50 years. She experiments with a variety of media depending on the project and the concept. She considers herself a "conceptual artist" and this requires knowledge of different techniques to express her ideas. Symbolic imagery is a common thread in her work. Currently she has been working on producing enough pieces for a one-woman show including a retrospective of past works to show the consistency of artwork done over time. She hopes to include installation of larger pieces, including sculpture, painting, assemblage, collage and constructed works. She hopes to brings this to a public audience this fall in Denver.

"Homage to Audubon":  With all the talk about climate change and what is happening to Mother Earth as a result, I think of all the extraordinary life we have on this planet and feel deeply about the life that has already become extinct. Hospice is an organization that assists human life in terminal situations. For that I have deep respect and gratefulness. I often wish we had something so caring for the plant and animal life as well. We still have the lovely flamingos at this point in time, the bees....another story, and don't even get me started on the White Rhino, one breed that just became a creature of the past.
