Dina Martin is a Malaysian-born self-taught artist whose award-winning pencil drawings have graced several national publications. She taught herself how to write novels and has recently published a children's novel, "The Text Police Club," a favorite at a local Jeffco publish library and amongst school children in Arvada. She has produced an art series based on her adult novel yet to be published. In the future she'd like to combine her love of drawing and writing into another format--the graphic novel.

"Emergent"  - The force under the skin of every human being wants to break free. No matter how or where we live, we are pushed by the outside.  We're oppressed, tied, married, marred, liked, hated, be grateful as we must if we want to be One with others. Who dictates our likes and dislikes, our routines, our nourishment for the body, mind and soul? Swimming blind in the current  of authority, trend or societal pressure--that's all good. Or is it? Should it? Freedom is within. There is no limit to expression as there is no limit to life.
