Description

Denver native and national and international fine art photographer. I am noted for unique use of, line, depth, light, color, texture, pattern, shape, and composition. I created my process of using sewing needles and wood carving tools to hand etch on my photography. Proud to be considered a “pioneer forging new ground” by combining fine art with fine art photography. Each white line is my creative mark. My motivation comes from a passion and love for detail.  I describe my work as contemporary with an “edgy” flare. My etching process continues to evolve as my imagination leads me to discovering new and exciting subjects to enhance and enlighten. In 2014 I was a featured artist on Rocky Mountain PBS in their Emmy Award winning program, Arts District.

"FOR LOVE OF NATURE"- I designed this mask to show my love for the natural world around us in beautiful Colorado. I am a fine art nature photography artist. Most of my subjects are nature and wildlife. I take photos and use a process I created to give depth and light to my work. I use sewing needles and wood carving tools to hand etch photos. This mask includes etches hibiscus with birds, and red lilies that were not etches. I attached the mask to a wood base with hearts. I included wood cutouts of a butterfly and flowers with foliage. And I painted with colored inks and acrylic paints throughout the piece.
