Description

When I was asked to make this piece, I began thinking about my mother's Cancer experience. She passed away just about 4 years ago now. The mask represented the life she gave me. The glass shards represented both the beauty and fragility of all types of relationships. The composition, the overlapping pieces of color, shape and form speak about randomness of life's twist and turns. I wanted the mask to be beautiful yet complicated, a little like life itself.
