Description

For over twenty years Leslie has been working with glass in various forms, including stained glass, fusing and jewelry. Creating flamework beads was a natural transition into another aspect of working with glass. The day she turned on a torch for the first time, melted glass onto a mandrel and made her first wonky beads, she knew at that point she was addicted! There is something very magical for her in the transformation of sheets of glass into an object that transmits light and color as is the melting of glass rods in the flame and creating beads of all colors and shapes.

Leslie was fortunate to combine all her glass art into their studio located on their property. It is set up for teaching up to three students at a time for lots of on-on-one instruction in basic, intermediate and specialty classes.

Leslie’s husband, Chuck, the Crazy Man of Crazy Woman Glass, works with borosilicate exclusively creating marbles and pendants. They have lived in Lakewood, Colorado for the last 35 years along with two cats, ZaZa and Marco and dog, Little Bear.
J is a native Coloradoan.  Growing up in a state that had over 300 days of sunshine, she had an interest in light streaming through glass.  She began working with stained glass in 1975.  Her true interest is in the texture and line that comes with sandblasting on glass.
