Says Sarah Denison: “I am 14 years old; the Mask Project auction starts on my 15th birthday this year! I am excited to start tenth grade at Horizon High School in Thornton, Colorado and I’m looking forward to taking as many art classes as my schedule allows. I also enjoy math, science, volleyball and crafts.”It’s funny how much things have changed since the last Mask Project, I’m now in high school and have a different view of my surroundings. A young person’s mind and perspective is changed with each life experience and increased knowledge. My Government class inspired the concept of this mask. The hope is that in our world of smog from factories and negative energy from politics that people who care and are brighter than their surroundings can change things. The girl in the front is observing from the safety of her umbrella, not knowing exactly how to help, but she’s paying attention until she can be a part of the solution for future generations. I am honored and privileged to be given the opportunity to be part of this project and to make a second mask for this amazing organization."
