Description
Romayne Barto – born in the finger lake region of New York. Though I love upstate New York, I am heart tied to New Orleans and the laid back culture of the South. I’ve always dabbled in being artistic (in what I feel is my way) and the colors and excitement of Mardi Gras has drawn me in to what I use to be a base.
I have enjoyed being able to create different pieces of art through travels and experience. Art is in the eye of the holder and for me, my art is linked to my experiences as well as the colors and atmosphere of Mardi Gras. The colors, the costumes, the culture and the people.
I have always been tied to art. Creating my own artwork, drawing on napkins, scratch paper and helping others find color pallets to make their homes beautiful. I enjoy the expression of art and the story it tells to everyone. We can all look at something and have different emotions.
This piece was created in the flair, colors and excitement of Mardi Gras. A “Splash Of Mardi Gras” is a great vision of the three main colors, Green, Gold and Purple, and how they bring thousands of people together, regardless of who they are or where they come from, to enjoy a great city and tradition.
