Description

This is a bronze coin of the Emperor Gallienus, struck between 253 and 268 AD. The emperor's portrait is on one side and an antelope on the reverse. It is the size of a nickel and about the thickness of a penny. This is a very fine grade coin, but the modest value is due to a small rough spot caused by contact with something when it was buried. It was purchased from the collection of Thom Bray, the actor who starred in the old TV show "Riptide".
