Here at St. Michael's, our students care about our planet Earth. This year in art class we have been discussing pollution, the environment, and the "Three R's": Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Since the beginning of the school year the students at Sparks have been saving and collecting their discarded bottle caps in preparation for this project. Our students learned about color theory as they organized the caps into color families and chose color schemes. This cross displays our school colors, golden and purple in bottle caps, some of which were hand-painted. The cross of Jesus reminds us that we have a responsibility given to us by God in the book of Genesis to be stewards of the earth.
