Description

Enjoy a stay in a mountain lodge in the Austrian Alps, located in a small resort adjacent to a National Park (Nockberge). 4500 feet above sea level surrounded by mountain peaks up to 7000 ft.


Located just 90 minutes drive from Salzburg and approximately 3 hours drive from Venice, Italy or three hours drive from Vienna.


Golf course nearby (20-minute drive); numerous lakes can be reached within an hour; in winter, several ski resorts are within a 30- to 60-minute drive. The resort only features a few small lifts as of next season. The area is well known for cross country skiing as well.


The chalet has:



  • 4 bedrooms with room to sleep 6-8 adults comfortably

  • 3 bathrooms – one on each of three floors, two with showers, one with bathtub

  • Sauna with resting area, washing machine and dishwasher

  • Kitchen on the main floor

  • Large patio with dining table from main floor, and terrace outside of loft unit

  • Satellite TV and high speed internet

  • Wake-up calls by cow bells and birds included as well as the owner's magnificent landscaping


Occasional sightings of deer from living room. Sound of mountain creek is ever-present. Beautiful hiking trails lead through vast National Park, which starts just across the street from the chalet.


Nearby hotels offer childcare services if needed. While you feel totally isolated from civilization at the house, resort hotels are located only minutes away. The next supermarket is 10-15 minutes drive away but baker can deliver bread, butter, milk and eggs daily.
