Serving on the council since 2005, Garodnick has been praised as one of the next generation of political leaders in New York. He is the author of NYC's first Green Energy Code, the Contractor Whistleblower Protection Law, and the Tenant Protection Act. Garodnick represents District 4 which includes parts of Midtown East and the Upper East Side.
