For our 95 sanctuary cats, with their many health issues, we feed wet food twice daily (AM and PM) and dry food on demand. Many of the cats require specific food, for example, because of multiple cats and their IBD issues, we feed Royal Canin GI/High Energy food and that is $31 per 8# of dry food.  Other cats have other issues.  Cats are fed in the morning and again in the late afternoon. We know that feeding them the best we can, can make a difference in their health and quality of life since so many of them are battling chronic medical conditions. We also know that often times cats become very finicky, especially if they are in frail condition, and at those times we are just happy if they will eat anything, so we go from Fancy Feast to the best we can get them. 

 It costs aprox $50 per FEEDING to feed the cats at the Sanctuary, that's $100 per day.
