My work in clay and book arts has been recognized in museums and galleries locally and nationally. I have been teaching art for over thirty years. I have taught at the Athenaeum in La Jolla, Childrens' Creative Workshops, the UCSD Crafts Center and The Rhoades School. I have received four Artist in Residence grants from the California Arts Council.
I teach with the idea that each artist will develop at her/his personal best level if given the appropriate information, excellent tools and an environment that allows for great freedom of expression.
One of my favorite aspects of camp is the amazing helpers who mostly have been campers for many years. They bring talent, youth and positive community building skills; creating a unique loving environment.
