Welcome to The Left Bank and 1920s bohemia and the world of Matisse, Sartre, Picasso, Satie, Chagall and Dali. Your guide for the evening will be our own artist-in-residence, Pamela Ritchey. We will drink French wine. We will look at reproductions of fabulous art, some of it created in France. We will eat French food. After the dishes are cleared, our minds and bodies immersed in the look and feel of La Rive Gauche, Pamela will teach us to paint. Or at least how to hold a brush. And then, with a little help from Pamela and a lot more wine, we will make art, and for a few moments, surrounded by happy, supportive, wine-drinking friends, we will be in the presence of the greatest art any of us has ever seen. Was I attempting a surrealistic flower? If that's what you're seeing, then yes, yes I was. Well then, you have certainly captured surrealism. Wine helped me achieve that effect; I call the piece Daisy. This is going to be a great party.
