North Carolina-based American folk rock band The Avett Brothers played an unforgettable three-night engagement at Brooklyn Bowl in late August of 2014. The band, comprised of the four-piece core of brothers Scott and Seth Avett, as well as Bob Crawford (bass) and Joe Kwon (cello), returns for a night of “Emotionalism.” The Avett Brothers are touring in support of the latest album “True Sadness,” set to be released on June 24, 2016.

“Scott and I lead different lives, but we are, as we have always been, fully invested in each other’s story,” notes Seth Avett on the band’s website. “Consequently, the variety in our authorship maintains a unity which otherwise would be unattainable.
