Bask in the quiet of Napa Valley with a soak in the lodge’s hot tub, a rinse in the outdoor shower, an afternoon in the lounge area on the deck or a stroll in the garden. Inside, a fireplace, wet bar and iPod dock give you the choice between a quiet evening or a festive one. Guests of Meadow Lodge also have access to the resort’s shared swimming pool, fitness facility, bocce courts and hiking trails. Have a swim in the lake, wade in the stream or take a wine seminar and sample vintages from the private Calistoga Ranch cave.

A wooden deck and exposed beams give the villa’s exterior a classic, rustic California lodge look, while neutral tones and clean lines lend the interiors a more contemporary feel. Taupe sofas, wooden accents and a glass-topped coffee table look serene and streamlined in the living room, while a wicker chair adds a touch of natural texture. The dining area blends comfort and sophistication with cream-colored chairs around a Craftsman-style table, and the fully equipped kitchen has both a chef-worthy range and a practical breakfast bar.

Both bedrooms at Meadow Lodge have en-suite bathrooms and entertainment centers; the master bedroom has a king bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds that can be combined to form a king. There’s also a sofa bed in the living room for larger parties. Crisp white bedding and upholstered headboards make the bedrooms feel both peaceful and luxe.
