Description

Take a break this election year from the sound and fury as to which candidate offers the best way to put food on your table.  Join our Party as we caucus to determine which libation pairs best with the food already on the table.

The audience for the evening is you and 9 of your best friends.  The venue is the beautiful Beverly Hills estate home of Charlotte and Danny Lubert.  Your moderators are a professional sommelier and a certified cicerone. The format is a multi-course dinner of gustatory culinary delights, each carefully paired by the moderators.

Every course will present an argument: Are you more likely to be swayed by the populism of the humble malt beverage or by the sophistication of the noble grape? Do you identify more with a working class lager or with an elite first growth Bordeaux?   Are you a loyalist to your beverage?  Even when paired against steamed Shanghai Har Gow in chipotle coconut sauce?  Does your answer change when presented with parsley crusted rack of lamb?  Prepare to have your traditional choice of beverage views challenged as we ponder the age old question:  why does it take so much beer to make good wine?

By the end of the evening, hopefully we will be able to reach across the aisle in bipartisan accord and agree to savor both a single quinta vintage port AND a caramel stout with our mini gateaux au chocolat avec un coeur de confiture de lait et fleur de sel.

This is a Live Event Item.
