Captain Rich Benson’s unique hand carved marine life sculptures are inspired by his love of fishing and the ocean which has captured the attention of marine art collectors. Rich began carving and sculpting whales, fish and sharks in the early 1980’s. The learning curve was long, as he is entirely self-taught. All of his carvings are solid sugar pine or basswood and are finished with a variety of media including acrylics, milk paint and epoxies. The lighthouse can be installed on a wall.
