The Suitor was inspired by observing colorful and noisy male birds vying for the attention of nonchalant females in my backyard.

“Formerly a ceramic artist, I began creating fine art and architectural mosaics for homes, galleries, gardens, and public spaces in 2006. I am a member of Studio 9, a large creative space shared by eight mosaic artists in Oakland. I have a keen interest in the social aspects of creativity and a strong belief in the power of art to heal and bring people together. To that end, I especially enjoy collaborating on group projects.”
