Gwen has been producing mosaics since 2003. She enjoys creating both 2 and 3D mosaic projects, using a wide variety of interesting found objects, as well as random non-porous household items. 

Color plays an important role in her work, especially rich warm hues. Her intention is to uplift all who gaze upon her mosaics, evoking and encouraging happiness, hope, and other good feelings. She usually lets each project evolve and develop organically, rather than having a specific final product in mind.

Actively involved with a number of mosaic groups, she has won three online mosaic challenge contests (‘steampunk’, ‘shabby chic’, and ‘3-D outdoor’ mosaic themes). In 2016, Gwen began mentoring at a monthly mosaic class near Houston, Texas, where she currently resides.

Gwen has sold numerous commission projects including a large 3-panel mosaic reef mural for a pediatrician’s waiting room. However most of her work is given as personal gifts or to benefit worthy causes such as the New Orleans Police Department or a Veterans Memorial.
