“This piece is inspired by my passion for seeing pattern and texture in aging, decaying walls. It represents several years of looking and collecting photographs of peeling and crumbling walls. I intend to pursue this theme in a series of new work. Finding beauty in decay and discarded objects gives me an optimism that I try to transfer to the greater issues facing the world today.

I have been a practicing mosaic artist since 1996. I’ve created public art, private commissions and community-built projects. All the while following a meandering path to find my artistic voice with works of portable fine art. It is this latter endeavor that I am currently pursuing.”
