“The title 'We Are Not Alone' is because my husband said it reminded him of a galaxy far away. Working primarily in the abstract with natural materials, I usually start a mosaic with a focal, something to draw the eye into the piece. The focal in this mosaic is the Chalcopyrite which is used in some cultures as a 'meditation stone', is believed to increase perceptive abilities and can be used to break up energy blockages. Pyrite is used as accent pieces in the mosaic.  Pyrite, also called 'fool’s gold' is believed to draw energy from the earth creating a shield against negative energies, guarding against harm and danger.”
