Tesserae: Tiles, crockery, glass fusions

“I am an Australian artist and have been making mosaics approximately 10 years and have been teaching part time for 5 years. I have sold work both in Australia and Internationally. I am self taught, I love to use a variety of tesserae in my work. I especially love collecting and using old crockery, taking something that was discarded and broken and giving it new life. I have recently begun fusing glass, having bought my first kiln. It adds some fun and Interest to my mosaics. Mini Sunset Wave is based on a larger piece that I love, It was purchased by a couple in California. One of my favourite things to do is walk on the beach at sunset.”
