Constructed by Captain Salvador Vallejo, infamous brother of beloved General Mariano Vallejo, in 1842, the historic Vallejo–Casteñada Adobe is the longest occupied residence in Sonoma and one of the town’s few remaining buildings from California’s Mexican Period.
