Parents and/or grandparents: Take your little ones to the Detroit Zoo and tour the new $30 million Polk Penguin Conservation Center, the world's largest zoo display of these aquatic birds. Get nose to beak with more than 80 penguins in this underwater gallery as they waddle, swim and stare back.

Admission to the Polk Penguin Conservation Center is included in zoo admission. But instead of having to get a timed-admission pass for the Penguin Center, these passes are good anytime from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
